I took this picture outside my house. I chose this picture because I thought It had a good view of the city. I kept myself challenged by trying to make my art look as realistic as possible. I choose this composition because I wanted all the city to be inside the middle and the trees going outside my art. I created a grid because it was easier for me to draw it. One challenged I had was drawing the city of my picture I took. A success was drawing the ocean and the boats in the ocean. Also drawing the sky was a success. The color schemes I used was I used blue for the ocean for my color scheme. I establish a time of the day by drawing a sun in the background and clouds to make look like it was day time. A technique I used to to enhance my drawing was shading parts of drawing the sun and clouds and water. IM happy with my drawing because I liked how it turned out and I like how accurate it looked like. Something I would have done differently if I did it again was make the city look more accurate.

One technique that is helping me create blends is using a darker pencil and then using a lighter pencil to mix the two colors together. I'm struggling with shading because I'm not how to find the values. The composition that I chose was inside because drawing it inside was more easier for me to draw. My drawing follows the shading rule and the sighting rule and the contouring rule. Yes I remembered to follow the steps to contouring because I remembered to sight my drawing before contouring. what went well with shading was shading lightly but what didn't go well was shading darker at the beginning. One goal I have to show improvement in is shading darker at the beginning then lightly. Also shading well where the values are at.

Its important to sight technique because it would help you draw the size of your shoe. It was challenging to draw each angle because I wanted the angles to be equal. One problem was I wasn't sighting my shoe but once my teacher taught me how to sight it it turn a little better. One aspect that is getting better is sighting my painting. I do have a fear about my final shoe project because I think the shoe won't look as realistic as it should. I will overcome it by asking my teacher how to make my shoe look more realistic as possible.

I was able to show improvement from my first draft because my shading was better and I made it look more realistic. My final project turned out the best because the shading was better and it looked more like a scissor. Also the composition was in not out because I thought if the scissor was in it would look better than being out. The values were much better on my final project because I used more shading on my final project. It was successful because I did my best and I loved how it turned out to look and I used good values and a good composition. It was difficult to add all the values to my drawing. yes drawing my drawing as realistic as possible is hard, But I overcome it by asking my teacher ways for me to draw my scissor more realistic and it worked. I think the shading makes art successful.

The Final shoe blog post 2
Some steps and techniques I used to draw my shoe accurate were that I measured my shoe to my drawing to see if my drawing was accurate to my shoe. Also when I was contouring my drawing it help me out a lot by after I finished contouring I erased some of the lines I didn’t need so it would look better. A problem I struggled with was drawing the NIKE symbol because you had to draw it big and it took me a lot of tries to draw it good. Also drawing the tongue of the shoe was hard because It was under my shoe laces and it was hard to draw under the shoe laces. I kept myself challenged because I wanted my drawing to look good. I’m happy how my project turned out because my first drawing wasn’t as good as this final drawing and the shape of the shoe was much better in my final drawing. I wish I could change how my shoelaces looked because I think they were the worst thing in my drawing. I learned that contouring your drawing helps make your drawing accurate.
